Al Gore's hologram

Al Gore kicked off the Tokyo Live Earth concert in a very high-tech way - he appeared on stage as a life-size hologram.

Cool? For a tech guy, sure, it's cool. But for an end-times guy, it's scary.

Look back to the 1980s when VHS was the new hot thing. Only several years later the compact disc was introduced. According to studies, by December 2006, DVD players outnumbered VCRs in typical American households. How long will it take before the same technology used for Al's holographic projection becomes available on the consumer market? Imagine watching Braveheart or Lord of the Rings with holograms interacting with you in the comfort of your living room. It may seem far off - but I am sure the DVD seemed far off when VHS was first introduced.

This sounds cool again to a tech guy, but to the end-times guy, it is frightening.

The coming end-time conflict is centered around one thing - who will possess the passion of the human heart? While many are giving themselves more fully to Jesus as the days pass, many many more are giving themselves to the lusts of the flesh, the lusts of the eyes, and to blatant sexual immorality. Immorality will be rampant at the end of the age. In fact, it is one of the four major sins that men refuse to repent of:

“But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk. And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.”
(Rev 9:20-21 NKJV)

It doesn't take a statistician to know that internet pornography, adult magazines, and adult videos are being produced and sold at an all-time high.

When consumer holographic projectors are introduced, men's hearts will be given an even greater avenue of expression to participate in sin to horrific, unimaginable measures.

The church is not immune to the death spew of immorality from the pits of hell either. Satan is releasing an unprecedented measure of the spirit of immorality which is the ultimate counterfeit to God's plan to establish the end-time church in wholehearted love for Jesus.
