Laptop and life update

It's been a long time since I've blogged! Wow.

I wanted to give those of you that were interested an update on my stolen laptop - it happened over a month ago when I was in Orlando for the onething conference.

The laptop was stolen directly from our "green room", the secured area in the host church where the worship team and speakers spend time briefing, praying, and eating our meals at the conference. I initially thought that the church's insurance company was going to cover my loss, but because of a series of logistical circumstances they are not able to. So, I'm back to raising funds to buy another Macbook Pro that is able to run all of my music software.

Many have expressed their apologies and sympathy for the situation, and for that I am grateful. Despite the circumstances, these past 5 weeks have been unbelievable for me. My heart has grown leaps and bounds in my identity as a lover of God. I've learned to be thankful for what I do have and to be even more thankful for the treasure that the Lord is preparing for me in heaven on the day that I see Him. The laptop that was stolen was just a tool that He graciously gave to me last year in an extravagant way, and so I am confident He is going to "thrill" me again with another unbelievable testimony. I am so confident in the Lord's love and provision for me, and I am confident His eyes are on me.

If you feel led by the Lord to donate, click the "support" link on my webpage to donate through Paypal, or contact me for details on how to donate in other ways.

In other news, I have been sketching out some designs for a new website and the Lord has been giving me some new ideas on my website content and design that will enable people to obtain more resources, read more articles, and stay better connected with the little corner of the prayer movement here in KC. I don't have a ballpark launch date yet, but pray for some more divine ideas! I take my "ministry" of this website, blog, and resources seriously because I know so many of you have been blessed by it. That's so encouraging to me!

More later... Thanks again for all your prayers and support!

UPDATE: June 30, 2009 - the Lord has provided me with a brand new laptop through offerings from various people! The price also just dropped on the computer I need as well! Thank you Jesus!

Hey man, I'm encouraged by your faith. I'm an Intercessory Missionary in Richmond, VA. I'm only 2 years into raising support so much of your website gives me courage. But I confess I don't know that I could lose my MBP with such grace!

Thanks so much Shawn for the

Thanks so much Shawn for the encouragement... It's exactly what I have asked the Lord for with my website - that it would be an encouragement to others on the same journey and even the whole body of Christ across the world! And regarding my MBP, I would not be able to respond with such a positive outlook if Jesus was not helping me! I received the MBP that was stolen about this time last year as an unbelievable gift, and so that gives me faith and confidence to believe the Lord has something new in store for me and has my best in mind - laptop or no laptop!

Stay in touch and blessings to you on your journey as an intercessory missionary at the end of the age!

Heavenly Blessings

Dear Precious Joshua,
Shalom
Thank you for being such a blessing.
Keeping you and the person(s) that took it in prayer.
The Lord is going to get another Mac that is better, hopefully with protection on it where it will call home and say come get me.
How do I send a contribution ? I don't use paypal.
Being without a computer is not fun, been there, done that.
The Lord will have something to say whether now, or later.
Shalom

Vicki, thank you so much for

Vicki, thank you so much for your encouragement, your prayers, and your offering! I am confident in the Lord's timing and leadership. I have been asking the Lord to encounter the person that stole it as well.

You don't need to have a Paypal account to send an offering electronically - just click the orange "make a donation" button on the donate page and Paypal will present you with a screen where you can make a contribution with a debit card (like a check) or a credit card without having to sign up for a Paypal account. Just click the link down on the bottom left corner of the screen near where it says "Don't have a Paypal account? Pay with your credit card or bank account".

If you would prefer to send an offering through the mail and not use electronic contributions at all, that information with particular instructions on how to do it is also on the donate page. Note that any personal correspondence that you send to that address will not get to me and will be discarded by the IHOP finance office.

Thanks so much and God bless!
