This past weekend, I traveled to a weekend event in College Station, Texas organized by the Luke18 Project, the college campus division of IHOP. The Luke18 Project’s vision is to raise up prayer furnaces on every college campus across the US. Brandon Hammonds, a fellow intercessory missionary here at IHOP, is a part of the Luke18 ministry and organized the whole trip this past weekend. Justin Rizzo and I flew down with Brandon to Houston on Friday and were hosted by an amazing family in College Station (about an hour and a half outside of Houston).
College Station, Texas is the home of Texas A&M University, one of the largest campuses in the nation. Texas A&M was well-known several years ago as the campus that had a massive bonfire accident where several students lost their lives. The Lord has recently been stirring prayer on the campus, and the Griffith family that hosted us for the weekend has carried a vision for a house of prayer on campus for a while now. We believe that our trip was just another spark for the fire in the Spirit to burn even brighter.
We had an amazing time of worship and ministry with the 200 or so students and leadership that attended the 2-day event. Brandon did much of the teaching, including speaking on the practicals involved with leading prayer meetings, but Justin also taught one session on the biblical foundations of night and day prayer. Justin led worship for the weekend, and I was the “band”, using my laptop for bass, drums, guitar, violin, and piano. I had so much fun!
On Saturday evening, we held an "awakening"-type service, where we waited on the Holy Spirit and invited His ministry. Many people were delivered of depression and wrong ideas about God, people were filled with joy and set free of self-hatred and fear, and even some bodies were healed! Praise Jesus!
Overall, it was a phenomenal trip. The folks we met were so filled with hunger and passion for Jesus. I am continually amazed at how the Lord is raising up prayer all across the world!
Below are some short video blogs that we recorded throughout the weekend. These videos are also on my Facebook page if you are not able to see them here. I’m also hoping to get some clips up on how I used my laptop for music this weekend too. Check my website for future updates.
I’d love to hear your comments about the videos... Leave them on my website!

I could've kicked myself
I could've kicked myself because I scheduled a trip to KC for this same weekend. I go to a school that is about four hours northwest of A&M. We are the second largest school in the A&M system with approximately 7000 students. So bummed I missed it. I'd love to see a little house of prayer spring up here. We're small, but I know I've burned for Tarleton State University since I got saved (I grew up in the town where the school is, so TSU has been a part of my life, for my whole life.) I know I'm not alone. Anyway...I had fun checkin' out KC and making my first of what will be many pilgramages to IHOP...hahaha. Cool videos guys. Thanks for hookin' up my brothers and sisters in Aggieland. Now Lord, let it spread all throughout the A&M system.
