A new website!

Posted on January 24, 2012

After over 6 months in the making, today I'm very excited to announce the launch of a redesigned, reorganized www.joshuahawkins.com!

This is more than just a cosmetic facelift. I have also:

  • Uploaded new resources from various IHOP-KC teachers and others, including some hard-to-find teachings.
  • Made all of the resources easier to find...

Website: new look, new Drupal version, new everything

Posted on October 10, 2009

Well, after almost 2 years of the same website design, I figured it was time for a facelift and an upgrade to Drupal 6, the content management software that runs my website. I can’t begin to tell you how version 6 radically improves some of the features to make my site so much easier to manage and provide you with more relevant content!

First, some of the major changes in addition to the site’s facelift – you’ll notice a "music" section for prophetic musicians, including a page describing how I use my laptop on stage at IHOP – something many of you have been waiting for. I’ve...

A new website is coming...

Posted on April 2, 2009

To my loyal readers, friends, supporters, and lurkers - it's been a while since I've blogged, for two reasons:

1) I am currently helping as a teaching assistant for David Sliker's IHOPU 4th year class called "The Kingdom of God". It's a biblical overview of the kingdom of God from Genesis to Revelation. In short - the kingdom is an entirely future reality that will be manifest on this earth, where Jesus will sit in government over all of the nations of the earth in the same manner that David sat governing Israel. The kingdom of God is not a "spiritual" reality in the...

Need a web designer?

Hawkeye Design Group

Yesterday I relaunched my web design website. Check it out:

My heart is to use the funds I raise by building websites to financially support prayer and intercession both locally here in Kansas City and across the nation.

It's been over a year since I redesigned my personal website, and I think it will be due for a facelift...

Justin Rizzo finally has a website

Posted on August 15, 2008

Justin and I have been going back and forth for a while now to get a simple and functional page up on his website, and I'm proud to say that it's finally done! He wanted to put something up before The Call this weekend.

Check out http://justinrizzo.com

Designed by yours truly. We ended up landing on something clean and uncluttered. Let me know what you think!

I can't believe this went unowned for so long...

Posted on July 31, 2008

The domain name "intercessorymissionary.com" was up for grabs until just a few days ago, when yours truly picked it up for a mere $9 per year.

I was in total shock that nobody had purchased it up to this point. Maybe that's just the geek-meets-intercessor thing in me...

So for those of you who can't remember my name but do remember what I am and what I do, you can always go to:

http://intercessorymissionary.com

to reach my site.

Sweet!

What you have been googling...

Posted on July 17, 2008

googlelogo.gifI have Google Analytics set up for my site, and as a result I’ve been able to check out some of the search terms that internet users have used to reach my site. Some of them are really funny, some of them are fairly normal and expected, and others are pretty interesting, so I figured I would devote a post to them so people could actually find what they were looking for.

My laptop finally broke...

Posted on May 25, 2008

My trusty 4.5 year old Powerbook G4's screen went dark a few days ago. What an amazing computer it's been. It's seen many cities in traveling with onething and many hours in and on stage at IHOP. The hard drive crashed last year (which I replaced myself, because the 3-year warranty had run out), but this time around something's wrong with the screen. A replacement screen goes for about $600, and then labor on top of that would probably be another $300. Why pay almost $900 to fix an outdated, obsolete computer when I can just put that money towards a new one? Praise God for hearing my...

Website updates...

Posted on May 17, 2008

I've finally been able to knock 2 things off my lengthy to-do list for my website! If you're reading this on a feedreader, be sure to go visit my site.

Here's a lowdown of the changes:

  • You may notice a "remember me" check box now in the login block. If you've got an account on my site, no more logging in every time you visit! The site will remember your login for 30 days before you have to reauthenticate now.
  • You'll also find a revamped audio downloads section. Check out the most popular (by number of downloads) audio...

Website launch day

Posted on August 17, 2007

I never thought this day would come.

After months and months of toil on my days off, It is finally done.

From photo galleries and a public blog (for those of you who kept up with me in the past, many of the posts from my old private blog are now exclusively in the "articles" section - it meant less work to migrate them over) to downloads and comments, my new website is official.

I originally got the idea in my head for a new site about a year ago, but was discouraged by the amount of work that would have to go into it.

Then, I found...
