The ultimate and certain hope of Christians is that God will raise us from death and give us a new body, like the one Jesus has, so that we might live on a restored Earth with Him forever. In response to the continuing story of creation, fall, redemption, and restoration, the New Testament holds out a 3-fold standard of faith, hope, and love as the measuring rod of Christian maturity. The sacrificial death of Jesus on the cross finds its roots in the Old Testament's sin-bearing sacrificial system. “Thanksgiving” is a concept seen throughout the Scriptures. Although it’s good that Americans set aside a Thursday every November to be intentionally thankful, the Bible says much more about giving thanks than just one day a year can handle. Christian gratitude is rooted in the story of the Gospel.

In this teaching given in November 2014 in College Station, TX, Josh walks through the story of the Bible and explains why thanksgiving must be experienced and not merely be words on our lips.
