The Corporate Journey to Fullness
With the buzz word in local churches and cell groups today being "community", David explains some of the misunderstandings about community by looking at 1 John and the book of Acts.
Authentic community and unity is only birthed first out of union with God. Unity is lacking in the body of Christ today because we walk in fundamental disagreement with God. We cannot have unity in Christian communities automatically - we must walk in agreement with Jesus Christ first. We never seem to know how to bridge all the difficulties of brothers we do not agree with, so we try different strategies and recipes. The key is dynamic unity amongst a corporate body with God Himself. Once we walk in agreement with God, unity amongst the body of believers is the natural overflow.
