The Worth of Christ and 24/7 worship and prayer

Teacher:

In this teaching, Stephen Venable (instructor and dean at IHOPU) relates the movement of 24/7 prayer and worship to the worth of Jesus as the one who is most deserving of all of our adoration and praise all of the time. Worship is not a means to an end, it is the end. Before there were any needs that had to be met, bodies to be healed, or injustices to be ended, the beauty of the LORD warranted the incessant cries of the seraphim and the worship of the first man, Adam. God first and foremost made us to serve Him, not the other way around.

In seeking to biblically support the Holy Spirit's move in raising up houses of prayer all across the world today, this teaching is very important. The motivation for everything is God's glory. With the right perspective, we can examine the worship of heaven as a picture of what the Lord wants to bring to pass on the earth - incessant, perpetual adoration of the only one worthy of it - Jesus.

This is one of the most profound, provoking, and perhaps one of the most important teachings I have ever heard. If you are longing for any sort of clarity regarding the biblical basis for worship, the glory of God, the purpose of 24/7 prayer, or the worth of Christ, be sure to listen.
