On the journey back into Jerusalem on Tuesday morning of Passion Week, Peter sees the fig tree that Jesus cursed the previous morning. The object lesson here is often misunderstood, but is straightforward when the larger story of the Gospels is considered. Jesus then explains what the disciples' response must be - one of persevering, prayerful faith in God and reliance upon all He has spoken through the Law and Prophets. Episode 118 - Passion Week: Monday

Upon His entry into Jerusalem on Monday, Jesus once again turns over the tables of the money changers in the Temple - something He has done once before at the beginning of His ministry. While He taught during the day, He also quoted Isaiah 56 and Psalm 8 to the sneering Pharisees and Jewish authorities, asserting His identity as the God of Israel. Two years in Texas... What's next?

On July 10, 2014 - exactly two years ago today - I packed up a truck and moved everything I owned from tornado alley in the Midwest to hot and humid College Station, Texas. I had only undertaken such a thing once before in my life. In 2004, after graduating college with a degree in computer science, I left a prestigious tech job in New Hampshire and decided to give my life to full-time ministry. There have been many ups and downs since then, but God has been so faithful through it all.

What an adventure the last two years in particular have been! I never thought I would be...
